Lori Trawinski, Ph.D., CFP® is an economist, financial planner, policy expert, diversity practitioner, and Virginia master naturalist. She joined the AARP Public Policy Institute in 2010 where she conducts research on policy issues including financial planning, consumer protection, employment, and consumer debt—mortgage finance, reverse mortgages, student loans, and
credit cards.
Lori is also an adjunct faculty instructor at the New York University School of Professional Studies, where she teaches courses in the Inclusive Workplace Design Certificate Program.
Lori holds a Ph.D. in economics and finance, an M.A. in international economics, and a B.A. in financial management from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She is currently pursuing a master of natural resources degree
at Virginia Tech.
